Case IH Announces New Strip-Till Applicator, Improved Sprayer Technology

Case IH Announces New Strip-Till Applicator, Improved Sprayer Technology

Case IH has been at work on new farm equipment and improvements to its existing machinery. Earlier in August, the company announced the latest two changes to its product lineup.

The first is a new implement – the Nutri-Tiller 955 strip-till applicator. Dave Long, Case IH seeding equipment and fertilizer applications marketing manager, says the company is responding to continued demand and expansion of strip-till acres.

“The Nutri-Tiller 955 delivers the agronomic advantages of conventional tillage, along with the economic and conservation benefits of no-till,” he says. “It’s a one-pass seedbed management tool that helps producers efficiently manage time, resources and inputs.”

Long says the implement has an all-new shank assembly and redesigned row unit that helps it create consistent, precise rows even as conditions change across the field. The Nutri-Tiller can create an ideal seedbed and also precisely place nutrients deep in the root zone in a single pass, he says.

Long notes other features, which include an improved mounting design of the new High-clearance Shank for Strip-Till (HCS ST), a new row cleaner, two rolling-basket options and more. It is available in working widths from 20ˈ to 60ˈ (8, 12, 16 and 24 rows). The implement was designed right down to the tires, which incorporate new VF radial tire options that have improved flotation and reduced compaction.

Case IH also announced its new AIM Command FLEX advanced sprayer technology. This will help operators with more consistent, flexible and accurate applications regardless of speed and terrain, according to company officials.

AIM Command Flex operates through the sprayer’s rate controller, so users get one-screen monitoring and can adjust various variables, including application rate, spray pressure, boom section status, product tank volume and other operating parameters. Meantime, an optional upgrade will allow on-off control of individual nozzles with no additional hardware needed.

To coincide with this new sprayer technology, Case IH is selling 100 limited edition 25th anniversary Patriot 4440 and 3340 sprayers in 2017. The “silver anniversary” sprayers will have an eye-catching silver-and-red paint finish along with several premium features, according to company officials.
