Mixing
Flowable formulations will settle over time. Prior to pouring or pumping Gaucho from the container, either shake  container vigorously or operate pump by-pass to ensure thorough mixing of the contents. When preparing mixtures the  following mixing order applies: flowable fungicides, coating agents (e.g. Peridiam) then Gaucho and stir until  homogeneous. Add any emulsifiable liquid last whilst slowly stirring.
Application
Calibrate commercial seed treatment equipment to ensure the seed throughput is mixed with the correct dose of slurry  seed treatment. Ensure the seed treatment mixture is applied to the maximum number of seeds when initially applied to  the seed. Retain seed in mixing chamber until good seed to seed coverage is achieved. Do not overmix seed as a  detrimental effect on treatment quality may result.
Use a range of 400 mL – 600 mL of total volume (e.g. Gaucho plus water) with each 100 kg of seed. Do not use a  volume of more than 600 mL with each 100 kg of seed.
Sowing of treated seed
Check flow rate of seed through sowing machinery before sowing to ensure the desired seeding rate is achieved. Drilling  for seed sowing is recommended.
Seed quality
Gaucho seed treatment should not be used on seed with more than 12% moisture content, or on sprung, sprouted,  damaged or severely pinched seed, or seed of poor viability. If in doubt, have a germination test carried out on the seed  before treatment to ensure that it is of acceptable standard. Treating with Gaucho as directed may raise the moisture  level of the seed by up to 0.6%, depending on conditions at treatment.

Compatibility
Gaucho 350 Flowable Seed Treatment is compatible with P-Pickel T Liquid Fungicidal Seed Dressing for use on faba bean, field pea and lentil seed. Do not use more than 600 mL of total mixture /100 kg seed (i.e. Gaucho plus P-Pickel T plus water). After treating seed with a mixture of Gaucho and P-Pickel T allow seed to dry. Apply rhizobium inoculum separately immediately prior to sowing. Gaucho 350 Flowable Seed Treatment Insecticide is compatible with Baytan C Flowable Seed Dressing and Raxil C Flowable Seed Dressing for use on cereal seeds. Do not use more than 600 mL of total mixture/100 kg seed (ie Gaucho plus Baytan or Raxil plus water). For details on compatibility with other products, please contact Bayer CropScience.
